A Sitemap is an .xml file. Simply put, Sitemap contains all the details of our blog which are important for search engines like google and bing so that it can include all our blogpost in its database and show it to the people on searching.

Sitemap contains information of all our urls. Sitemap helps Google to crawling and indexing our blog.

Creating and submitting a Sitemap is very important for SEO.

To submit sitemap search engines of your website / blog, we follow these steps -

1. Create a sitemap of your blog. (Generate Sitemap for your blog)

2 . Add Sitemap to your blog. (Add and attach sitemap to your blog)

3. Submit your sitemap to search engines. (Submit your sitemap to search engines)

If your blog is made on WordPress, then with the Yoast plugin you can easily create a Sitemap and attach it to your blog.

1. Install Yoast plugin.

2 . Generate a Sitemap.

How to make Blog sitemap?

1 - Install Yoast plugin. (Install Yoast Plugin)

Install and activate the Yoast plugin. (Install and activate Yoast plugin in your WordPress blog.)

You will see Yoast SEO icon on the left side of the dashboard. Click on the search console below that.

Now, Yoast will ask you for permission to join the google search console.

Now click on "Get Google authentication code". Then a pop -up box will appear and click on it. Now a code will come up and copy it.

Paste that code in the box provided and click on Authenticate.

Now select your website and click on save profile.

Step 2- Generate Sitemap. (Generate sitemap of your blog)

Click on Dashbord under the Yoast icon on the left side.

As shown in the image below - click on features.

Click Enable in the Advance settings page heading.

Save

 

After enabling the Advance settings page, when you see under the yoast icon, now you will see the XML Sitemap there, click it.

The Sitemap is created with the Yoast Plugin and it will be seen in the next image.

Step 3 - Submit your sitemap to the search engines. (Submit your sitemap to search engines)

Now in this third step we will know that sitemap kaise submit kare, sitemap kaise add kare, xml sitemap kaise add kare.

1. Sign in to Google Search Console.

2. Click Crawl> Sitemap on the left side.

3. Click on the red button of Add / test Sitemap.

4. Paste the remaining part of the url of your Sitemap. (For example, according to the url of the image above, I will paste "sitemap_index.xml".)

5. Press the Submit button.

 Now click on the XML Sitemap written in blue color.

Congratulations, you have added and submitted the XML sitemap of the blog to google.
