Vodafone launched eSIM, Vodafone customers can get this way
Vodafone has launched eSIM support for its postpaid customers. Currently, users of Vodafone's Mumbai, Delhi and Gujarat can demand eSIM. Vodafone will soon include other cities in this list.
Vodafone has launched eSIM support for its postpaid customers. Vodafone customers using Apple iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone SE, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR smartphones can avail this service by seeking e-SIM. Vodafone says that it will soon launch this service for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Samsung Galaxy Fold. Currently, users of Vodafone's Mumbai, Delhi and Gujarat can demand eSIM. Vodafone will soon include other cities in this list.
What is eSIM?
eSIM is an integrated SIM chip that comes with your smartphone. Such users do not need to use physical sim. Users can access calling, messaging and internet with the help of e-SIM.
How to get Vodafone eSIM
If you are a customer of Vodafone, then you have to do 199 SMS. In this SMS, you have to send eSIM <space> email ID. If your email is not registered with the mobile number, then you have to get your email ID registered by sending email <space> email id to 199. Once your email ID is registered, you have to send the first message eSIM <space> email ID.
If your email is valid then you will get a message from 199. You have to verify the request of eSIM by sending ESIMY.
After confirming the request for e-SIM, you will get another message from 199. Will ask you for a call here.
After this, a QR code will be found in your email account. You must scan this QR code. Through this process you will have to turn on WiFi or mobile data.
You have to go to the settings menu of the phone and click on the mobile data. With this, you have to click "Add Data Plan" here. Now you have to follow the phone prompt by clicking the QR code.
New customers will have to visit their nearest Vodafone store. Here you will have to take a new Vodafone eSIM connection by giving your ID proof and photograph. After that you can get the e-sim activated by completing the QR code activation process.
